Come one, come all

We’re happy you found your way here. Welcome to (what we consider) one of the best taco places around.

If you’re anything like us, this isn’t your first search for delicious crispy tacos, local tex-mex, and Mexican drive thru in Lexington, Kentucky.

Of course, we’re not the only kids on the block. Once you get your fill of taco burgers (a challenge, because you can buy ‘em by the sackful to go), you might want to check out a couple other local taco spots.

Off the top of our heads, our friends also love The Local Taco, Taco John’s, Taco Time, Del Taco, and Taco Bell. All of these places have their own take on what “best taco restaurant” means, but we’re confident in backing ourselves.

If you’ve taken your taco searches far and wide, you might have found some other of our contemporaries, like Rocco’s Tacos in Florida, Tacos a Go Go in Texas, or Loco Mexican Restaurant in Indianapolis.

Any fresher and you’d be in the garden

We’re excited to talk about our new-and-improved Taco Tico menu, launching in 2022! We’ve got all the old favorites plus some new surprises – still using the freshest ingredients and the same unforgettable taste.

What’s what on the menu

Enchilada vs. burrito, enchilada vs. chimichanga, chimichanga vs. burrito… What’s the difference between them all? Here’s the scoop.

A burrito is a flour tortilla rolled or folded around a filling (as of meat, beans, and cheese). Our classic burrito consists of a soft flour tortilla filled with creamy refried beans and shredded cheddar cheese, and you can add in beef or chili if you want to get fancy.

An enchilada is traditionally a tortilla served with chili sauce and a filling of meat or cheese. We make ours with soft corn tortillas, filled with our specially seasoned beef or cheddar cheese, and topped with our famous enchilada sauce and shredded cheddar cheese. The flavor is hard to describe, you’ll just have to taste it yourself.

A chimichanga is a tortilla wrapped around a filling, typically of meat, and deep-fried. We don’t do the chimichanga dance ourselves, preferring to keep it interesting with other favorites like taco burgers or Texas-stacked enchiladas.

And if you’re curious about what sancho means, here’s our hot take: it’s a large soft flour tortilla loaded with our specially seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes. Sounds simple enough, but it’s worth a try – trust us.

We’d call ’em one of a kind, but we do this every day

And of course, we’ve got all the staples like nachos, quesadillas, tostadas, salads, and – you guessed it – the best tacos around. For full details on what we serve, check out our Taco Tico Lexington Menu.
